Report from YP Gospel Meeting

On Saturday evening, April 19, the young people gathered for a gospel meeting centered on the topic "Real Rest: Overcoming Stress and Burnout Through Christ." There were 91 attendees, including 14 guests who signed in. Chick-fil-A was provided for dinner, followed by popsicles and ice cream bars for dessert. Three of the high schoolers shared their testimonies, which were honest, touching, and very relatable. Then a gospel message was spoken that addressed the challenges of stress and burnout, pointing to Christ as the source of true rest. Together, the message and testimonies seemed to deeply resonate with those who attended.

Guests especially enjoyed the singing, and several expressed interest in joining future YP meetings. The Lord’s presence was very much with us throughout the evening. One of the most encouraging moments came during the altar call – The invitation was given to respond to the Lord and every single person in the room stood up.
Not only was it encouraging to see many gospel friends of the young people, but it was also encouraging to see our own young people labor to coordinate, plan and carry out this gospel meeting. The young people invited their friends from school and truly entered into the joy of shepherding their friends to the Lord.

Report from Spring College Conference

During the weekend of April 18th, the Spring College Conference was held, bringing together students from across Southern California. The topic of the conference was “The Purpose of the Ages.” Over 667 attendees participated, including 48 students from Irvine.
Throughout the conference, we saw a view of the purpose of the ages, the church, and how God’s purpose should become our purpose. We touched the seven aspects of the church in Ephesians, with a burden that we would pray to receive a spirit of wisdom and revelation and for our eyes to be enlightened that we would see the church. The matter of the Body was opened to us, seeing how the church is not an organization but an organism that is growing into the Head in all things, and how we need a personal, loving relationship with the Lord. Lastly, we touched on the practical way for the church to be built, by the operation in the measure of each one part. There was encouragement that in our day-by-day church life, we would learn to function and prophesy to be perfected.

Report from Lazarus & Amy Sun from France - May 1, 2025

It was a very special three and a half weeks for us in Paris. We felt that we touched something of the Lord’s move in France as a critical stepping stone in His move in Europe. We were privileged to join in with the full-time team that is based in Paris, as well as the local saints, as we learn to live a day-by-day house-to-house church life. It was a joy to reunite with new ones, university students that I first met when they were starting to be among the saints during the 2024 Olympic gospel trips.  At the same time, the saints in Paris continue to go out for Bible distributions where it is so easy these days to give out twenty to thirty Bibles in less than a two hour period, while engaging in a good number of meaningful conversations and collecting multiple contacts. Amy and I were amazed to be speaking with one woman who, after hearing about the first two keys of the Mystery of Human Life, began to weep. We quickly pivoted to the matter of praying to receive the Lord, and the woman prayed the prayer at the end of that tract. The hearts of so many in this country remain very open to the Lord!
We came at a wonderful time, too, as we were able to take part in hosting the trainees who visited from Warsaw to blend with the church in Paris and participate in the gospel and shepherding work here. Then in the final weekend of April we participated in the annual French-speaking conference in Paris, which this year saw its highest attendance ever, with about 300 attendees, including approximately 70 who are new ones. Brother Ed Marks spoke concerning Romans 5 through 8 being the Kernel of the Bible. The speaking was so cherishing, life-imparting, and full of practical application. The Lord is gaining the reality of His Body in the French-speaking world, as part of the building up of His Body throughout  the world, which is also the preparation of His Bride for His return!
